How We Create Our Images

In short: Some photos on Gleamy Nails are AI-created concept images, made to show a nail color, shape and design together. Photos from nail artists are credited to them. Every post that uses AI images says so.

Why we use AI concept images

A trend often appears before there are good photos of it in every shape, length and skin tone. Concept images let us show a specific idea, for example a short almond chocolate chrome on a deep skin tone, so you can picture it and show it to your nail tech.

How we make them

  • Each image starts from a written spec: nail shape, length, base color, finish and the art on each nail.
  • We show a range of skin tones and natural hand poses, with calm backgrounds so the nails stay the focus.
  • Every image is checked before it is published. Images with a wrong number of fingers, a twisted thumb, or a design that does not match its description are rejected and made again.

What they are not

AI concept images are not photos of a real manicure, and we never present them as someone’s work. Real results depend on your nail tech, your nails and the products used.

Artist photos and credits

When we feature a nail artist’s photo, we credit them. If you see your work here without a credit, or want it removed, please use our content removal page or email [email protected].

See it on your own hand

Want to know how a design looks on you, not on a concept image? Nartie, our iPhone app, puts designs on a photo of your own hand.
